During my time in middle school, Chris Paddock was my English teacher, and his influence on me was profound. Subsequently, he also became part of the staff at the same high school I attended. His encouragement drove everyone to strive for the best version of themselves.
There’s a particular memory that stands out: shortly after my dad’s passing, my brother and I were at Chili’s having dinner. We noticed Chris and his family there, so we approached them to say hello before returning to our meal. When we requested the bill, we were informed that it had already been settled. It was evident to us that Chris was responsible, although he feigned ignorance when we thanked him. His concealed expressions spoke volumes.
