One of the largest housing association in Wales has advised residents in 40 of its properties in Hirwaun to move out immediately due to potentially dangerous reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC).
Trivallis has identified the risk of RAAC concrete in 60 of its homes on the Gower estate in Hirwaun. There are another 17 properties on the estate belonging to private owners which are built in the same way.
Following survey works, the Association has been advised that RAAC was a critical risk in one of its homes and that this could be the same in 40 other homes which are similar.
