The Accessibility and Inclusion Expert Group has drawn to a close its advisory work with the Ombudsman. Its work has helped the Ombudsman to improve its accessibility and has shown it how it can better reach out to under-represented groups of residents.
The work of the group has led to a number of positive changes for the Ombudsman, culminating in a raised profile for Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) matters.
The group also supported improved wording and layout of the Ombudsman's website, revised its telephone process to make it more streamlined and pick up on vulnerabilities earlier, and helped to develop a better connection with advice agencies such as Citizens Advice and Shelter.

North Wales Housing has become the latest social landlord in Wales to achieve the prestigious and nationally recognised Equality and Diversity Mark.
The QED Award, developed by Tai Pawb, provides a comprehensive framework for improving the equality and diversity impact of the organisation.
Awarded by an independent panel, it considers strategic areas such as governance, leadership, and culture, as well as customer-facing service provision, including access and diverse tenant involvement.
Over the past 12 months, staff, board members, tenants, contractors, and partner organisations have engaged in the accreditation process.
The award includes an annual check-up over three years where Tai Pawb will monitor progress on North Wales Housing's action plan.
