GOV.UK: Further reading
Energy Security and Net Zero Secretary Claire Coutinho announced up to £80 million in additional funding will be made available through the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund - which will generate energy bill savings of around £240 a year for some of the lowest-income households.
More than 100,000 households in England are already benefiting from the scheme and this new funding is enough to upgrade an additional 9,500 homes.
Measures range from installing new wall, loft or underfloor insulation to supporting families to switch to low carbon heating.
Eligible tenants will receive the energy efficiency upgrades free of charge through their social housing provider - whether local councils or housing associations.

Tariff Watch report shows the hidden costs in energy bills
Posted 06.10.23
Warm This Winter: Further reading
The Warm This Winter coalition has launched its second Tariff Watch report, which shows the hidden costs in energy bills.
Produced in partnership with Future Energy Associates, it strongly suggests that a broken energy system prioritises profit over people's ability to heat their homes.
The report calls for urgent government action to introduce tariff reforms which could bring down bills and help people stay warm this winter.
It also includes advice on what people should do to, as far as possible, reduce their energy costs.
