Sovereign and Network Homes merge to form SNG

On Sunday 1 October, Sovereign and Network Homes merged to form Sovereign Network Group (SNG).

The proposed merger was announced on Monday 13 March and the final business case was approved by the boards of Sovereign and Network Homes on Thursday 7 September.

The organisation has over 82,000 homes, and over 210,000 customers across London, Hertfordshire, and the south of England.

Mark Washer is the Chief Executive Officer of SNG and Helen Evans the Deputy Chief Executive. Paul Massara is the Chair and Jon Gooding the Deputy Chair.

Origin Housing and Places for People in merger discussions

Origin Housing and Places for People have announced that they have entered merger discussions.

Origin owns and manages over 7,000 homes across London and Hertfordshire. The intention is that, subject to all relevant approvals, Origin will become a subsidiary of Places for People Group Limited.

Carol Carter, Chief Executive of Origin Housing, said:

"After several months of fruitful discussions, we have a set of outline proposals we believe will be hugely beneficial to Origin's residents, our local communities, our staff and all other stakeholders.

We'll be communicating the details and consulting with our residents over the coming weeks to get their views on the proposed partnership."
