Regulator of Social Housing: Further reading
The Regulator of Social Housing has published its report into the extent of damp and mould issues in homes owned by large registered social housing providers in England and lessons learned.
The death of toddler Awaab Ishak and the coroner's report, which found damp and mould in his home contributed, demonstrates the importance of dealing effectively with damp and mould.
The Regulator subsequently asked all large registered providers of social housing to submit evidence to it about the extent of damp and mould in their homes and their approach to tackling it.
This report outlines the findings from the initial survey and from follow up work.
