UK Green Building Council (UKGBC): Further reading
A joint letter to the Prime Minister and three Secretaries of State, coordinated by UKGBC, has been signed by more than 100 businesses from across the built environment sector.
It warns the Government that the planning system is not providing a consistent approach to handling climate change and environmental considerations - creating delays, costs, and legal challenges.
The letter calls on the Prime Minister to amend the Levelling Up and Regeneration Bill to directly align the planning system with the UK's climate commitments.
