The Bristol-based housing company Goram Homes has chosen Countryside Partnerships as its preferred bidder to build Bristol's largest development this century.
The planned 1,400 high quality new homes on a former airfield at Hengrove Park will be a landmark development for south Bristol.
Half of the new homes will be council-owned - helping to meet a strong demand for social rented housing, as well as providing affordable homes for sale under schemes like shared ownership.
