The first NED Network online meeting is set for 10th May and will then meet fortnightly on Mondays.

Alison Inman (NED of Saffron Housing, former CIH President and co-founder of SHOUT), will talk about Being a Board Member during a pandemic: what works and what doesn't? The NED Network is free to join but is only open to Non-Executive Directors and Trustees of social housing organisations.

It has been set up to provide a space for Board Members of social housing organisations to discuss issues around governance, assurance and strategy with their peers from across the sector.

Each session will be hosted by a NED, discussing a topic relevant to their governance role. Each topic will be announced a week in advance.

The NED Network has been set up by HACT and PlaceShapers, with the support of Anthony Collins Solicitors and Badenoch + Clark.

It is an opportunity to explore contemporary issues in social housing on an ongoing basis with peers.

The NED Network is committed to driving up the professional standards and expertise of people working in the social housing sector and delivering increased value for residents and communities.

As well as fortnightly meetings online, there are plans for two annual events in person: one in the north and another in the south.
