Guinness Partnership: Further reading
Guinness, in partnership with Salix Homes, recently delivered a fully funded five-day training programme in DIY and home maintenance for female residents in Salford.
Building on the success of previous programmes, this provided twelve participants aged 18 and above, who were unemployed or on a low income, with the opportunity to learn DIY and home maintenance skills - including joinery, plumbing, plastering, and tiling.
In addition to the training, the women received career support, mentoring and a bag full of tools to help them progress with their newfound skills.
