New governance assessment model for Welsh housing regulator

Campbell Tickell: Further reading

Campbell Tickell has been commissioned to provide expert governance support to the Welsh housing regulator.

This will involve working with the Welsh Government's housing regulation team to further develop its approach to assessing the quality of governance in Welsh housing associations.

The project has been commissioned, in part, as a response to complex regulatory cases in the sector which have their roots in governance failures.

There is recognition from both regulator and sector that there would be benefit in exploring how the warning indicators of such failures can best be identified at the earliest point giving Boards the best chance to deal with any issues on a voluntary basis.

The approach to governance assessment will be co-created by Campbell Tickell and the Welsh Government in conversation with the sector and other key stakeholders.
