The Sustainable Energy Association (SEA) has published a report to demonstrate how social housing can lead the way to net-zero.

The ambitious target to cut greenhouse gas emissions to zero by 2050 requires substantial commitment and government action, however, the steps currently being taken are not enough.

Transitions are required across all sectors as soon as possible to pursue this target and the scale of the challenge should not be underestimated.

The SEA report and analysis within confirms that in the residential sector, which currently accounts for 22% of UK emissions, 'business as usual' will not go far enough to meet net-zero.
