One Housing: Further reading

One Housing has taken the decision to move back to the use of lifetime tenancies for its social housing residents.

The decision was taken after extensive consultation with One Housing's Resident Panels, who have welcomed the change.

The housing association will no longer be issuing fixed term tenancies with immediate effect.

Residents currently on Fixed Term Tenancies will be offered lifetime tenancies in a phased approach due to be completed in Summer 2020.

The change will mean longer-term security for One Housing's residents, removing the unnecessary worry associated with renewing their tenancies.

One Housing will continue to issue short term tenancies in its specialist health, care and support schemes - including homes provided as part of the Rough Sleeper Initiative.
