New partnership aims to tackle homelessness across the South

VIVID Housing has announced a partnership with Two Saints - a homeless support provider - to secure and strengthen support services and accommodation for local vulnerable people.

The new partnership will bring added assurance to the provision of vital support services and accommodation for the benefit of local people.

It has been formed to tackle rising homelessness and create better wellbeing outcomes for people across the south. Together, VIVID and Two Saints aim to share expertise in providing mental health and support services.

Two Saints will bid for new support contracts and VIVID will aim to increase the amount and quality of accommodation available.

Mark Perry, VIVID's Chief Executive, said - "We're delighted to be working together as trusted partners to ensure the stable provision of accommodation and services for those in need."

Brokenshire confirms over £25 million to help vulnerable rough sleepers

A £25 million funding boost announced by Communities Secretary James Brokenshire MP will provide thousands of vulnerable people sleeping rough with specialist support to recover from life on the streets.

The money, to be shared with 108 local authorities across the country, will be used to fund innovative local schemes aimed at supporting people off the streets and into stable accommodation where they can receive the tailored care they need.

This will include:

Councils will use the investment to create an estimated additional 2,600 beds and 750 support staff.
