Plus Dane Housing: Further reading
Plus Dane Housing has been successful in a bid for nearly £500,000 from the Warm Homes Fund, to help improve homes with inefficient heating.
The money will make up part of a £1.5 million project for the housing association, which is now identifying the homes most in need of the work to ensure they meet the highest energy efficiency standards and help tenants keep fuel costs down.
The Warm Home Fund grant of £497,000, along with Plus Dane's own contribution, will enable 250 homes that are currently heated by inefficient electric storage heaters to be connected to mains gas.
It will also fund the installation of 250 condensing combi boilers and insulation top-ups in 15 cavity walls and 20 lofts.
Information Note
The Warm Homes Fund is a ring-fenced £150 million pot aimed at targeting households in fuel poverty.
