Three of the UK's largest housing associations - Network Homes, Clarion Housing Group and L&Q - have established a new Commission to consider how the housing association sector should evolve over the next 10-15 years.
In 2006, the original Future Shape of the Sector Commission, created by L&Q, produced the influential Growing Up report, which examined how housing associations should evolve as the biggest grew to own and manage 100,000 homes.
Now that milestone has been reached, the new Future Shape of the Sector Commission will look at what the implications of that growth have been across the sector.
Its brief also includes housing associations of all sizes should respond to the housing crisis and manage further potential change effectively in a post-Brexit, politically volatile world, in the interests of customers, stakeholders and society at large.

Salvation Army Housing Association: Article link
The merger of Chapter 1 Charity Ltd with the Salvation Army Housing Association (saha) has been completed.
Chapter 1 became a subsidiary of saha in March this year, following the decision to combine the strengths of both organisations in 2016.
Plans were announced in March to complete the merger by the end of September 2017; with the plans on schedule, the two organisations will now move forward as one entity.
Over the past six months the group arrangement of the two organisations has resulted in improvements to Chapter 1's IT systems, repairs service, and back office functions.
Saha has also introduced its Independent Quality Inspection (IQI) service at Chapter 1 properties, to enhance the quality and consistency of service delivery.
