Jeremy Corbyn has written to Theresa May to request that the Grenfell Fire Inquiry team is broadened to improve confidence in the process and improve representation.
In the letter, Jeremy Corbyn writes: "The importance of residents and victims' families having full confidence in this inquiry cannot be underestimated."
He continues: "I urge you to consider broadening the inquiry team to a model more similar to that used in the McPherson Inquiry, including with representation from those from minority backgrounds, in order to support the judge leading this inquiry."
Labour has urged the Government to conduct a two-part inquiry in order to get answers to urgent questions about what happened at Grenfell, with the first part reporting back this summer to minimise further suffering of survivors.

Communities Secretary Sajid Javid updated the House of Commons on the Government's response to the Grenfell Tower tragedy, and its safety inspections of cladding in other buildings.
Almost three weeks since the catastrophe that hit Grenfell Tower, his report updates on the support given to victims and survivors.
On rehousing, he confirmed that the Government will honour the promise that every family who lost their home because of the fire would be offered a good quality temporary home within three weeks - that deadline is Wednesday 5th July.
He also said - "what we will not do is compel anyone to accept an offer of temporary accommodation they do not want".
The Communities Secretary also advised that the Director of Public Prosecutions has made it clear that there will be no prosecution of tenants at Grenfell Tower and Grenfell Walk who may have been illegally subletting their property.
On measures taken to test the combustibility of cladding in other blocks, he advised that all 181 blocks tested so far have failed.
Sajid Javid also confirmed that Sir Martin Moore-Bick has been appointed to lead a full, public inquiry into the tragedy.
