Longhurst Group announced a new partnership that will help deliver 700 new homes a year and maintain a focus on providing comprehensive care and support services.
An agreement to merge with Peterborough-based, Axiom Housing Association, has been formally signed off by shareholders. It will see Axiom join the Group from 3 July 2017.
The partnership is expected to grow the Group's turnover to over £160 million within five years. It will be responsible for over 22,000 properties across almost 50 local authorities.

Catalyst Gateway's volunteer programme has been awarded the 'Investing in Volunteers' accreditation from the National Council of Voluntary Organisations (NCVO).
In the past year, Catalyst Gateway has recruited and trained 71 volunteers for initiatives and programmes across many of Catalyst's neighbourhoods in London and the South East.
The feedback from our volunteers has been very positive, with 90% saying they would 'highly recommend' volunteering for Catalyst.
Using the HACT methodology especially developed to measure social value, Catalyst estimates that the value of the volunteer work done in the past 12 months equates to approximately £91,000.
