Anyone dealing drugs from social housing in breach of their tenancy agreements will lose their homes, a chief inspector has warned.
Chief inspector Gerry McDonald, issued the stark warning after a raid at a social house in Sele Farm in Hertford.
There were at least 16 police officers at the scene and a kilo of herbal cannabis was discovered during the raid.
He said: "We will be working with local authorities. If you are selling drugs in breach of your tenancy agreement we will take your house from you and best of luck finding another house".
