Geeta Nanda OBE has been appointed as the new Chief Executive at Metropolitan. She is currently Chief Executive of Thames Valley Housing, and will join Metropolitan in October 2017, succeeding Brian Johnson.
Geeta Nanda joined Thames Valley Housing as Chief Executive in 2008, after completing four years as Group Operations Director of Notting Hill Housing Trust.
Over nearly 30 years, Geeta has worked in a variety of leadership roles in housing associations. She has served on the Boards of two housing organisations, as well as national and local charities. She is also an Ambassador for charity World Child Cancer.
In 2013, she was awarded an OBE for achievements in social housing.

One of the UK housing sector's most eminent figures, Professor Paddy Gray, has been appointed to the Board of Wheatley Group.
Paddy Gray, Professor Emeritus of Housing at the University of Ulster, was recently named the top "Power Player" in the UK housing sector by 24 Housing magazine.
He is regarded as an authority on housing strategy and social policy, nationally and internationally, having served on advisory groups for the Northern Ireland Executive, UK Government and Northern Ireland Assembly.
In 2010, he became President of the Chartered Institute of Housing, having previously served as Vice President and Treasurer.

Vice president Alison Inman will become CIH president in September when current president Julie Fadden's time in office comes to an end.
It means that CIH is looking for a new vice president, who will go on to become the organisation's president in 2018.
Any current CIH member can put themselves forward during the nomination stage, which will close on 1 June.
The shortlisted candidates will then be revealed on 3 July and an online ballot will be open until 31 July.
CIH is also seeking people to fill a number of other crucial positions on its Governing Board, Regional Boards and Audit and Risk Board. Nominations for these positions are also now open and will close on 1 June.
