Genesis appoints new Chairman

Genesis Housing Association has appointed Dipesh Shah OBE to be its new Chairman. He joins at an important time as Genesis steps up the delivery of its five year Corporate Strategy.

Dipesh Shah has had a diverse executive career in the energy sector, holding varied roles during nearly thirty years at BP and thereafter serving as the Chief Executive of the UK Atomic Energy Authority.

Alongside this, he has a wide portfolio of past and present non-executive roles in infrastructure organisations, and currently chairs the Investment Committee of the 2020 European Fund for Energy, Climate Change and Infrastructure (the Marguerite Fund).

Chartered Institute of Housing appoints new director in Wales

A new director for Wales has been appointed by the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH). Matt Dicks will take up his new role in early 2017.

Matt Dicks has a breadth of knowledge of the Welsh policy landscape following 17 years working as a senior communicator at the heart of Welsh civic and political life.

In 2009 he joined the National Assembly as its media relations manager where he has transformed the Welsh Parliament's media operation into a modern multi-platform, multi-media offer fit for the modern digital communications world.

In 2013 he joined the board of the Cadarn Housing Group, the parent company of the Newydd Housing Association, a social landlord operating in south and Mid Wales.
