Speakers Announced for the TPAS National Tenant Conference

TPAS National Tenant Conference

Details of headline speakers for the TPAS National Tenant Conference have been announced:

Jenny Osbourne, Tpas Chief Executive, will be setting the scene for the conference by talking about national tenant and community engagement issues.
Diane Bellinger, Chief Executive of Community Gateway Association, will talk about their award winning examples of innovation in tenant and community engagement.
Denise Fowler, Housing Ombudsman Service, will lay out the future role and direction of the Housing Ombudsman and discuss how dispute resolution principles can help tenants and landlords to resolve complaints together at the earliest possible opportunity.

Key topics at this year's conference will be:

Tenant engagement - delegates will have the opportunity to explore, learn and share with each other the housing-specific challenges they face such as scrutiny, governance and value for money.
Community engagement there's more to a home than bricks and mortar and there's more to a community than houses. This year's conference will encourage debate that is broader than housing.
Individual engagement - the conference will offer workshops, debates and fringe events to support delegate's personal development with lobbying, confidence, negotiation and analytical skills.
National engagement - housing policy, government priorities and landlord business plans are moving at a remarkable rate. The conference will offer simple, robust and practical advice to help keep pace with the changes.
