Homes and Jobs Boost as Wheatley Group Unveils West Dunbartonshire Strategy

Wheatley Group has unveiled an ambitious five-year strategy which will see hundreds of new homes and jobs created in West Dunbartonshire. It is the first of a series of launches in Wheatley Group's key areas of operation.

The plans will also see a multi-million pound investment in existing homes in the area and new and improved services to tenants and factored homeowners.

The massive new-build programme is a direct result of Wheatley's strategic housing partnership with West Dunbartonshire Council.

Bellsmyre Housing Association Votes 'Yes' to Joining Caledonia Housing Association Group

Members of West Dunbartonshire based housing association, Bellsmyre, voted overwhelmingly to enter a 'constitutional partnership' with Caledonia Housing Association.

There was strong support for the proposal with over 93% of Association members voting in favour the partnership.

Talks between the two landlords began 18 months ago, following a rigorous selection process, after Bellsmyre decided to look for a partner Housing Association.

The partnership will bring increased investment to the properties in the area, protect rent levels, enhance services and improve governance.
