Jeremy Corbyn has appointed Jon Trickett to the role of Shadow Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government.
Jon Trickett has been the MP for Hemsworth in West Yorkshire since 1996. He served as the Parliamentary Private Secretary to Prime Minister Gordon Brown from 2008 to 2010 and was promoted to the Shadow Cabinet by Ed Miliband in 2011 as Shadow Minister for the Cabinet Office.
Labour's new Shadow Minister for Housing and Planning is John Healey. He was the Housing Minister under then Communities Secretary Hazel Blears, serving at Cabinet from 2009-2010.
John Healey has also been Economic and Financial Secretary to the Treasury in the last Labour government.
