Members of the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) have elected Julie Fadden as the organisation's new Vice President.
Julie Fadden, who is chief executive of The SLH Group in Liverpool, was up against Stephen Cook, chief executive of Valleys to Coast Housing in Bridgend, Wales. She will become Vice President for 2015/16 on 21 May, subject to approval at the CIH Annual General Meeting (AGM), and will be expected to take up the role of President in 2016.
Julie Fadden said:
"I am honoured to have been chosen to represent the CIH membership as Vice President and would like to thank all those who voted for me.
"There is much to do to tackle the housing crisis and deliver for those in need, and I want to help in any way I can to highlight the difference we can make to the lives of those we serve and campaign for positive change."
Julie will replace current Vice President Geraldine Howley, chief executive of Bradford-based housing group Incommunities, who will take up the role of CIH President at the AGM on 21 May.
