Merger Sees 31,000 Homes Stonewater Come Into Being

The new housing association has come into being (1st January) as as a result of the merger of associations Jephson and Raglan.

Stonewater has around £160 million in turnover, £1.6 billion in assets and manages around 31,000 homes across England.

The new association will operate in three Divisions across England, structured as follows:

The Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) gave its go ahead to the merger in September; and HCA and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) approval to Jephson, Marches and Raglan Rule changes were finalised for the merger to take effect from 31 December 2014. Bob Strachan, former Chief Executive of Jephson, is the new CEO of Stonewater, while Nicholas Harris, former Chief Executive of Raglan, will stay on as deputy CEO indefinitely.
