UK Housing Awards Winners Announced

The UK Housing Awards winners were announced at a ceremony in the Lancaster London Hotel.
Established in 1997 to recognise excellence across the housing sector, the annual awards ceremony is organised by the Chartered Institute of Housing and Inside Housing. This year, it was hosted by comedian, writer and environmental campaigner Marcus Brigstocke.
The winners were:
- Business transformation of the year:
Glasgow Housing Association - Think Yes
- Community-led initiative of the year:
Housing People, Building Communities - Sweat equity: home partners, volunteers and trainees
- Innovation of the year: North Tyneside Council - Supporting independence, improving health and well-being for tenants
- Campaign of the year: Wellingborough Homes - FISH
- Development of the year (large schemes):
Regeneration of Loudoun Square, Cardiff - Cardiff Community Housing Association/Cardiff Council/Cardiff and Vale Health Board/Leadbitter Group UK/Austin Smith Lord/Bingham Hall/AECOM
- Development of the year (small schemes):
Redevelopment of historic Vulcan House, Merthyr Tydfil - Wales & West Housing/HLN Architects/Wates Living Space/Bay Associates/Bowen & Partners/Glamorgan and Gwent Archaeological Trust
- Strategic local authority of the year:
Hull City Council - Housing and neighbourhood renewal strategy
- Sustainable landlord of the year: WHG - A sustainable future for all
- Specialist landlord of the year: Riverside ECHG - Homeless care lifeline
- Small social landlord of the year:
Cunninghame Housing Association - Making our communities better places
- Large social landlord of the year: The Wrekin Housing Group
- Lifetime achievement award: Jean Haley - Lambeth Living
- Landlord of the year: Cunninghame Housing Association
