City of London Growing Localities Awards Shortlist Announced

Twelve projects have been shortlisted for the City Bridge Trust Growing Localities awards. 164 entries were received in six categories.
The awards will give a total of £2,500 prize money to projects using nature to enhance and improve local communities and the lives of vulnerable or socially excluded people, generating positive outcomes such as health and well-being, new skills and knowledge, new relationships, and a sense of purpose and belonging.
Those shortlisted are:
- Bede Housing Association - Bede Learning Disabilities Nature project
- Bee Urban - Keeper's Lodge Project and Camberwell Subterranea
- CGP London - "Grow to Sell" Family Allotment Sessions
- Down's Syndrome Support Group London - DIGIT dance and movement group
- Forty Hall Community Vineyard Ltd - Vineyard Volunteering for All
- Headway East London - Growing for Life
- Myatt's Field Park Project - Myatt's Fields Park Food Project
- Paxton Green Time Bank - Nature and Crafts Group
- Ripple Primary School - The Outdoor Classroom and Nature Garden
- Spitalfields Crypt Trust - Reclaming land, rebuilding lives
- Thames21 - Environmental Music
- The Edible Bus Stop - The Edible Bus Stop
The list of winners will be announced on the 9th of May.
