Collecting Former Tenant Arrears

This course will explore the problems of collecting former tenant arrears and examine ways to ensure efficient recovery. It will also look at ways and means of prevention.

Key issues covered will include:

Looking at what monies may be owed when a tenant leaves and if the strategy for collection should be to cover all, some, or one of these debts.
Considering the challenges involved in collecting former tenants arrears and what needs to be taken account of to achieve a positive outcome.
Thinking about prevention of former tenant arrears with incentive schemes, having identified the scale of the debt.
Carrying out risk assessments for the above and the setting up and management of the various processes.
