Posted 14.01.13
Wolverhampton City Council's cabinet has approved the development of a new 15-year management agreement for its arm's-length management organisation (ALMO) Wolverhampton Homes.
The Council report highlighted the ALMO's success in increasing customer satisfaction, developing a strong working relationship with the Council and offering good value for money.
Improvements include reducing the time it takes to prepare empty homes for letting - down from 71 days to 18 days.
Also noted is the importance of investment in tenancy support in helping customers prepare for welfare reform.
The agreement will be developed ahead of the conclusion of the ALMO's existing ten year contract, which runs to October 2015.
