The Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE) has developed a new draft Rural Action Plan for the next three years to address rural housing concerns.
It has been developed following an examination of the overall work the NIHE is planning to undertake over the next three years.

There are actions in the draft plan covering all aspects of the NIHE remit. These have been structured around its four corporate objectives, which are:
Actions are included under each of these headings and are designed to ensure that an equitable share of available resources is directed to rural areas and to contribute to an overarching vision of 'housing services working in partnership to sustain vibrant communities and provide economic, social and environmental benefits in rural areas'.
It is the intention to undertake the actions listed by March 2015, subject to the necessary funding being available.
Consultation on the proposals in the draft Rural Action Plan will run until 22nd February 2013.
