TPAS Appoints a New Chair

TPAS has announced that Steve Meakin, MBE will replace Sara Thakkar as the new Tenant Chair of the TPAS Business Board
A highly involved resident of Aspire Housing Group, Steve Meakin said:
"I am very proud to have been nominated and accepted onto the board and I'm looking forward to getting stuck in, meeting members across all regions and supporting TPAS to continue empowering tenants and landlords to work together, creating better communities for us all.
Appointments to the Homes and Communities Agency Board

The Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government appointed three non-executive members to the Board of the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), following open competition:
- Richard Hyde - currently Chief Executive of Brian Hyde Ltd (a sales, distribution and marketing business), a non-executive at Midland Heart HH and Centro, the West Midlands passenger transport authority. He is Deputy Chairman of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust.
- Anthony Preiskel - recently retired from a career of more than 20 years at P&O, chiefly as Deputy Chairman and Managing Director of P&O Properties. He is currently an Independent Director of the Kensington & Chelsea Tenant Management Organisation.
- Ruth Thompson - a career that has been in the utilities sector, including senior roles at National Grid, Transco and British Gas. Her responsibilities have included delivering major business change involving significant asset portfolios and engagement with regulators.
