Studying With the CHS

The language of education and training can be confusing. As a manager or prospective learner, how can you be sure of the quality and value of a course or qualification? Do you know the different ways in which courses can be delivered? How can technology help support learners?

Congress Workshop Speaker Confirmed

Richard Plenderleith, Strategy and Innovation Manager at Riverside ECHG, has been confirmed as a speaker at the National Housing and Support Congress & Exhibition 2012, to be held from 12th to 13th July 2012 (see below for a link).
The title of his workshop will be 'Let's co-regulate'. As a co-regulation champion, RECHG have been working steadfastly together with tenants and service users.
In this workshop, tenants, service users and staff will share some of their many successes, illustrating how co-regulation can work effectively in an organisation.

CHS In-house Training Wins a Substantial Contract

We announce the award of the contract to deliver a national Supporting Outcomes training programme for Riverside ECHG's (RECHG) sheltered and supported housing staff.
This is an endorsement of our reputation in delivering logistically-challenging, multi-location, multi-topic, bespoke training courses. Previous customers include Abbeyfield and most recently the on-going Harvest Housing Group (now Your Housing Group).

NVQ Assessors Needed
25th May 2012 We are searching for more qualified NVQ Assessors. You will need experience in Assessing the NVQ Certificate in Housing - Level 2 & 3.
We urgently need more NVQ Assessors and Verifiers with a Housing competency to support our learners. We have work available right across England, so if you are interested, we'd like to talk with you.

Andrew Stunell to Speak at the CHS Annual Congress
31st May 2012
In May 2010, Andrew Stunell OBE was appointed as Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State in the Department for Communities and Local Government.
His responsibilities include equality, community cohesion (including the future of PREVENT), building regulations, housing and regeneration. As such he is also the Minister responsible for the Supporting People programme.
Andrew Stunell will close the first day of the Centre for Housing and Support National Congress 2012.
