Tor Homes Completes 46 Homes in Torridge

The final phase of Tor Homes' latest development at Holsworthy in Torridge is complete and ready for residents to move in.

There are 46 new affordable homes on the 2.67 acre site, which is part of the former Holsworthy Showground. They have been in extremely high demand, with more than 250 people bidding for the 32 rented properties through the Devon Home Choice system.

Two four-bed rented homes have been adapted for full Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) compatibility and are fitted with a stair lift, special kitchen, wet room, covered parking and electrically operated doors and windows.

The total cost of the scheme has been around £5 million.

Funding Secured for Sanctuary Scotland to Complete Dundee Scheme

Sanctuary Scotland will be able to complete its regeneration of Dundee's Ardler Estate, following a successful bid in tranche 2 of the Scottish Government's Innovation and Investment Fund.

This final phase will see 60 new houses developed, with completion scheduled for August 2013.

Forty of the £6.2 million project's properties will be rented and the remaining 20 available through the shared equity model.
