Matt Leach has been appointed as new Chief Executive of HACT - the housing action charity.
HACT has undergone a period of significant change over the past years. The appointment of Matt Leach marks the beginning of a new chapter for the organisation, as it looks to re-connect more closely to the housing sector in the current challenging times.
Supporting housing providers to respond to the needs of vulnerable and marginalised individuals and communities is a key priority, and one to which the Chief Executive's role is seen as integral.
Matt Leach is currently Associate Director of ResPublica and Head of its Health, Housing and Environment unit. He has held previous roles as Director of Policy and Communication at the Housing Corporation and Chief Executive of Capacity builders.
He will take up his new position from August 2011.
