St Mungo's has been shortlisted for five awards this autumn in different areas of expertise from mental health to recruitment to charity partnership support.
The Charity is a successful finalist in a variety of awards, namely:
Third Sector Excellence Awards, organised by Third Sector magazine.
St Mungo's is a finalist in two categories, first for its 40th anniversary Annual Review 2008-9 in the Annual Report section, and secondly, for its innovative Palliative Care Service, developed jointly with Marie Curie Cancer Care in the Charity Partnership section. The winners will be announced at a ceremony in London on 23 September.
The Andy Ludlow Homelessness Awards, organised by London Councils.
St Mungo's is nominated for its innovative Brent Dual Diagnosis project which helps people with a combination of severe and enduring mental health and substance use problems. This project is one of six finalists, with the overall winner announced on 21 October.
The UK Housing Awards, organised by the Chartered Institute of Housing.
St Mungo's has been nominated alongside partners Willow Housing and Care, Brent Council and Elders Voice in the category 'Meeting the needs of vulnerable people'. The winners will be announced on 10 November in London.
The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development People Management awards, organised by the CIPD.
St Mungo's is one of four finalists in the 'Excellence through technology' category for the work it achieved in the last year on remodelling its online recruitment using the AMRIS system. The winners are also announced on 10 November at a ceremony in Manchester.
This comes after St Mungo's worked with Grey Healthcare Group earlier this year on an award winning ad campaign, which won the agency an IPA Best in Health new award this summer - the PMGroup Prize. This was a new prize to give healthcare agencies the chance to demonstrate their creativity while also helping out worthy charitable causes.
Last year, St Mungo's was also shortlisted in the 2009 Andy Ludlow Homelessness Awards for its Lifeworks project, and in the 2009 UK Housing Awards in the 'Delivering Better Accountability and Resident Involvement' category for its client representative group, Outside In.
