Being the biggest landlord in the South East of England, Southampton City Council is undergoing a massive programme of investment in its homes.
To show the Council's commitment to ensure all social housing meets the Decent Home standard by 2010, Southampton City Council have appointed Connaught as one of two contractors to provide housing improvements across the City.
Connaught will be carrying out the Decent Homes programme across the City over the next three years. Many people will have new kitchens or bathrooms installed and, subject to Council surveys, certain properties will also benefit from electrical and heating upgrades.
Wirral Partnership Homes is undertaking its biggest consultation exercise to help improve the service they deliver to its customers.
Staff at the Association have started to make one-to-one contact with tenants living in their 13,000 properties to help build a tenant profile. Once completed, the profile will provide them with the information to help deliver a service to meet individual needs.
Brian Simpson, Chief Executive of Wirral Partnership Homes, said:
"Providing a service that meets customers' individual needs is a priority for Wirral Partnership Homes.
"I would like to encourage our customers to take five minutes to answer the questions so we can deliver a more customer focused service.
"Whether this is providing a publication in a larger font, or always making appointments in the evening, we want to deliver a service that meets our customers' expectations."
All tenants who complete the questions are entered into a prize draw to win a 32 inch LCD TV.
