Over 70 of Wirral Partnership Homes's tenants took part in a Challenge Event to look at how sheltered housing could be improved. The event, held at the Lauries Centre in Wirral, gave tenants the opportunity to have their say on matters relating to sheltered housing, as part of Wirral Partnership Homes' Best Value Review of the service.
Tenants and representatives from various organisations including Wirral Social Services, Age, Concern, Wirral Regeneration and the Health and Housing Project took part in a variety of workshops. The workshops involved tenants and representatives discussing key issues about where Wirral Partnership Homes would like to be in the future with regard to their sheltered housing services.
As part of its fundamental review of sheltered housing and control centre services, Wirral Partnership Homes arranged this event to bring together a range of stakeholders to debate key issues. The views collected on the day, together with information collected through other forms of consultation, are to be used to determine "where Wirral Partnership Homes wants to be" and how to get there.
We will always consider publishing case studies on interesting consultation and participation initiatives. Please contact us with details.
