IBS OPENSystems announced that Chiltern District Council went live with its Electronic Document Management solution. It enables the Council to electronically store and retrieve information relating to council tax, housing benefit and business rates. It also provides a comprehensive workflow system, which fully integrates to all the back office systems.
Problems with the Housing Corporation's computer system led to delays for housing associations in accessing payments for grant funded developments. Problems with the investment management system (IMS) were eventually resolved. Currently, the Corporation is involved in a rewrite of its IMS.
Dumfries and Galloway Housing Partnership (DGHP), which own and manage over 11,000 homes across the region following a vote by local residents to transfer housing stock from the council in 2003, opted to use Orchard's arcHouse software. The software assists with management functions, such as logging repair calls and collecting rent.
As part of the stock transfer preparation and IT strategy, DGHP decided that a new financial management system would be needed that could integrate with arcHouse. Orchard's OpenAccounts system was chosen to help them manage the organisation's finances.
A feature of OpenAccounts is that it offers a web based eFinance application, which will allow DGHP to electronically link to suppliers and customers.
