IBS OPENSystems announced a new contract with Sunderland City Council to implement its OPENRevenues system. The Council is investing £900,000 in an integrated IT system for the management and administration of its Council Tax and Benefits. Sunderland City Council required an IT solution that would support its e-government initiatives, deliver efficiencies, provide better working practices, and boost customer service performance.
Chester-le-Street Council signed a five year £60,000 contract with Comino to supply electronic document management services for its Housing Benefits Department.
Newcastle-based Orchard Information Systems Ltd. has recently scooped two awards for sales performance. At the Progress UK and Ireland Application Partner Conference, the Company won the award for Partner of the Year and New Business Revenue Performer, as well as being nominated for the Business Empowerment Award. Orchard selected Progress as its key technology partner in 1992, effectively brining Progress to the Public Sector market for the first time. Since that point it has been one of Progress's largest and longest standing partner organisations.
Stafford and Rural Homes signed a £150,000 contract with Consilium Technologies, to provide financial management software on an ongoing basis.
