Anglia Housing Group selected Higgins Construction as the contractor on its £1.25 million regeneration
project in Barking & Dagenham, to develop ten timber-framed family homes using prefabricated kitchens and bathrooms.

selected John Laing Partnership as lead contractor for the second phase of a regeneration programme in Orpington, which will produce 54 new homes for
rent and sale on the Ramsden Estate.
Conway Council received an Energy Efficiency Commitment Scheme grant of £123,400 to install
loft insulation and upgrade central heating systems for its tenants.
Southwark Council gave planning permission for two schemes in the
first housing phase of the redevelopment of the Elephant & Castle. These are the 31-home mixed tenure scheme of Southern HG, and a mixed-tenure
project by Oakmayne Properties that includes 44 affordable homes. The new homes will be allocated to tenants decanted from the Heygate Estate, which
is due for demolition.
Future Developments
Amicus Housing Group announced a new alliance with the
private developer – Denne Group - with the objective of securing more development sites. The alliance will secure the sites for joint development
programmes, with Amicus providing affordable homes, and Denne building homes for sale.
A partnership that brings together nine housing
associations from North Partnership Homes, the NEET consortium, and Nomad Housing Group selected Century Homes to develop more than 300 new affordable
homes over the next three years.
